“Splash 14 – Light and Color” has finally published! It took more than a year to put it together, starting back in December 2011 when they were calling for entries, then to June 2012 for sending in hi-res pictures, filling out permission forms, and writing captions. And finally, a year long wait for all of it to come together. I’ve actually almost forgot about it at one point. But alas, it’s finally here and I have the book in my hands. I’ve gotten the digital version of it back when it was released but showing the physical copy is so much better. So let’s take a look!

With the “Splash 11” book that I randomly bought 2 years ago at a bookstore going out of business.
If I hadn’t bought that “Splash 11” book, I would never have found out about the “Splash Watercolor” series at all. When I decided to enter my painting it had been 1) 2 years since I’ve graduated college and I had absolutely painted nothing since then and 2) the painting I entered was done with a new technique I’ve never tried before. I took a chance and of course, it worked out. Though I didn’t get anything monetary for it, I’m honored to be featured in a book with other watercolor artists, some world renowned, from around the world. It’s a good start and I hope to enter more publications.
